Volunteer

At Calvary Murrieta Christian School, we love and value our parent volunteers! Your time and support play a vital role in enriching the classroom experience, strengthening our school community, and blessing both students and teachers.

There are many opportunities for parents to serve, from helping in the classroom and assisting with projects to supporting special events and field trips. If you would like to volunteer, please review the requirements below and complete the necessary steps.

How to Become a Volunteer

To serve as a CMCS volunteer, please:

  1. Complete a Volunteer Application Form.
  2. Read and agree to follow our Volunteer Requirements and Dress Code.
  3. Arrange a volunteer schedule with your child’s teacher.
  4. Sign in at the office when you arrive and pick up a volunteer name tag (must be worn at all times on campus).
  5. Sign out in the office when you are finished volunteering.

Volunteer Guidelines

Dress Code

As role models for our students, we ask volunteers to dress modestly and appropriately while on campus, during field trips, or at school events.

Please avoid:

  • Tight-fitting, strapless, halter, off-the-shoulder, or backless tops/dresses
  • Short tops that expose the midriff
  • Visible undergarments
  • Shoulder straps less than 2 inches (unless paired with a jacket, sweater, or shirt underneath)
  • Low-cut necklines or revealing tops
  • Skirts, dresses, or shorts more than 3 inches above the knee
  • Sweat-style pants/skirts with writing across the back
  • Clothing with suggestive or inappropriate wording

If a volunteer is out of dress code, CMCS may provide an appropriate alternative item to wear while on campus.

Siblings

For safety and supervision reasons, siblings may not accompany volunteers while serving on campus or chaperoning field trips.

Scheduling

Volunteers should adhere to the schedule arranged with their child’s teacher. Teachers rely on volunteers for activities such as reading circles, homework packs, and craft projects. If you are unable to attend at your scheduled time, please notify the teacher as soon as possible.

Confidentiality & Impartiality

While volunteering, please remember your role is to support the classroom as a whole:

  • Avoid showing favoritism to your own child.
  • Do not judge or comment on other students’ behavior, attitudes, or performance.
  • Keep all classroom observations confidential — share any concerns only with the teacher, not other parents or family members.
Special Privileges

Volunteering does not include special privileges such as picking up your child early or visiting other classrooms. Please remain within the scheduled role arranged with your child’s teacher.
