At Calvary Murrieta Christian Junior High (CMCS), our heart is to teach and nurture the whole student—spiritually, academically, socially, and emotionally. We are committed to:
- Instructing in God’s love
- Fostering healthy peer relationships
- Cultivating a desire for lifelong learning
- Providing opportunities to explore enrichments such as art, music, athletics, and leadership
Our teachers and staff guide students with kindness and grace as they walk alongside them in becoming the young men and women God has created them to be.

Academics
Our junior high program equips students with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in high school while keeping Christ at the center of learning. Core classes include Bible, English, Math, Science, and History, taught with academic excellence and Biblical integration.
Beyond the core, students have the opportunity to take electives that allow them to explore their interests and giftedness, such as:
- Art
- Technology
- Physical Education
- Music
- Photography
- ASB (Associated Student Body)
Each year, junior high students also participate in camp, pep rallies, and spiritual emphasis days, which build both community and character.
Biblical Foundation
Instilling a passion for Jesus is our primary goal. Students are immersed in God’s Word daily through Bible classes, scripture study, and prayer.
Koinonia Groups
Small group gatherings led by junior high staff where students connect through Bible study and prayer.
Weekly Chapels (Square One)
Monday mornings filled with worship, teaching, and guest speakers who share Biblical truth.
Spiritual Emphasis Days
Special events that blend fun, fellowship, and deeper spiritual growth.
Through these rhythms, students are encouraged to not only know God’s Word but also to live it out in their daily lives.
Extracurriculars and Student Life
Junior high is a season of discovery, and CMCS offers a wide range of
extracurricular activities designed to develop students’ gifts and passions.
Athletics
Opportunities to compete in soccer, basketball, baseball, football, softball, and cheer.
Student Life Events
ASB hosts exciting events each quarter, from bowling and laser tag to nerf battles and even snowball fights.
Service and Outreach
Students actively live out their faith by serving in the community through partnerships with ministries such as the Lake Elsinore Dream Center and the San Diego Rescue Mission.
These experiences create lasting memories, build leadership
skills, and strengthen students’ walk with Christ.
Preparing for the Future
Through challenging academics, intentional discipleship, and engaging extracurricular opportunities, CMCS Junior High equips students to thrive in high school and beyond. Our goal is to partner with families to raise up young men and women who are strong in faith, confident in their abilities, and ready to impact the world for Christ.
